This year, Scotland shone!
You participated in record numbers at hundreds of events and in weekly Parkruns throughout the country.
Our Jog Scotland groups and our amazing club network supported us, providing structure, support, friendships and connections, sustaining us both physically and mentally.
Our athletes did it on the track at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow, and in Paris at the Olympics and Para Olympics.
And you met another challenge – supporting Athletics Trust Scotland, and enabling others to participate, many for the first time.
That’s right.
Your actions have helped hundreds of people living with a disability, in poverty, or in ethnically diverse communities, to do what most of us take for granted.
So whether you donated directly, or participated in Scottish Running Week, or came along to one of our Takes of the Track and Trails events, thank you!
Next year we go bigger again.
It’s time to scale up and we’ll be doing this by collaborating with partners like Scottish Athletics, SAMH, and of course, our clubs and Jog Scotland groups.
Together, we can build on Scotland’s success in running and athletics. We can transform lives.
Seeing runners come together to help others is a measure of us all. And we can make a huge difference.
But for now, thank you from all of us at Athletics Trust Scotland for supporting us this year. I’m so proud of our community!
